Founder and Producer of Jazz in Martinborough
Sadly the founder and producer of JIM, Ian Cresswell, passed away on June 28 2017, aged 83.
Ian was the author of the Story of JiM and a stalwart defender of its purpose. He was a key part of all of our previous festivals and gigs and a dear friend to us all here on the JiM team. His enthusiasm and energy will be sorely missed by us all and the 2017 festival was dedicated to his memory: without him there simply would be no Jazz in Martinborough.
One of Ian’s most recent initiatives was to create Music in Martinborough, a classical music festival to be held in late spring this year. It will be yet another legacy of a man who has done so much to support the growth of arts and culture in our community.
