Fronted by Rodger Fox – trombonist – arranger – Jazz in Martinborough Patron, band leader and bona fide musical legend, The FunkBone Experience wields smoky licks, classic funk, down-home blues and remakes of classic jazz standards with a repertoire reading likes the who’s who of the funk jazz area.
Material by artists such as Herbie Hancock , Etta James , Maceo Parker , The Jazz Crusaders , Tom Scott , Raul De Souza , Jimmy McGriff and other great groove masters.
In tune with this year’s theme of Women in Jazz, the FunkBone Experience featuring Erna Ferry will also include two other talented female artists, Eilish Wilson (saxophone) and Lauren Ellis (drums), alongside Nick Granville (guitar) and Rory Macartney (bass).
