Cole Porter’s compositions represent the pinnacle of mid-century sophistication, blending witty lyricism with complex, seductive harmonies. About the BAND:

Lisa Tomlins
One of New Zealand’s most versatile performers, Lisa has been the ‘gun-for-hire’ for many bands, cementing her place as a much sought after vocalist. Lisa Tomlins has worked with Rhombus, Hollie Smith, Deva Mahal, Shapeshifter, Fat Freddy’s Drop, TrinityRoots and many more.

Zak Dikvert
The driving force behind the band, an accomplished jazz guitarist and vocalist for over 30 years. Zak brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, his smooth vocals bringing his interpretation to Porter’s lyrics .

Anita Schwabe
Anita Schwabe is an award-winning Wellington jazz pianist and composer. She has performed with her own groups at all major jazz festivals in NZ and is currently a member of the Rodger Fox Big Band.

Russell Henderson
Originally from the Scottish Highlands, saxophonist Russell gained many years of performance experience by establishing himself on the Scottish jazz scene. Russell relocated to Wellington, New Zealand in 2018 where he completed a PhD in composition.

Alistair Isdale
Bassist Alistair Isdale has performed throughout New Zealand and internationally for the past 25 years. He has played with a wide range of artists, including Brooke Fraser, Aaradhna, Rosita Vai, Bella Kalolo, Hetty Kate, Rodger Fox, Fire Waltz, and Richter City Rebels.  Alistair also serves as Operations Manager for the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band and directs the RNZAF Jazz Orchestra which headlined last year’s Jazz in Martinborough programme.

Greg Crayford
Greg has over 30 years professional experience, primarily as a jazz musician. Greg’s group Pleasure Point has various incarnations who have played at most of NZ’s national and international jazz festivals. He is also a current or past member of dozens of local bands; has played on radio and tv shows; accompanied overseas artists such as The Drifters; and recorded or toured with local legends such as Rodger Fox and Frankie Stevens.
