A special treat in this year’s programme is the appearance of a quartet of senior students from St Matthews Collegiate.   Lucy France ( guitar and vocals),  Sarah Heberley ( keyboard), Jessica Dewhurst ( sax), Victoria Leggett ( bass) and Abbey Wakefield (drums) have been playing together for three years and are representative of the emerging talent that was shown at the recent Fresh Jam concert for Wairarapa college jazz musicians – an event coordinated by Bruce McMichael of Jazz in Martinborough and supported by Rodger Fox and other tutors from the New Zealand School of Music’s jazz school.
