Enjoy a sultry and smooth blend of jazz standards and contemporary tunes as Noir return to Peppers Parahua for an 8th year at Jazz in Martinborough.

Mary Watson has an intimate and inclusive stage presence, drawing everyone into a close connection her honest interpretations of the music with her warm, rich tones. This time she is backed by a new line up of seasoned professionals.

Their virtuoso pianist, Bob Keeton, has played in a variety of formats over the years from lounge lizard piano to professional orchestra pits, jazz combos and rock bands. Phil Waddington played drums in a family band at an early age and been playing in the Wellington music and cabaret scene since 1972. Allan Street, a bassist for the past 45 years, enjoys engaging a variety of musical genres. He has toured America and Canada, as well as participating in Wellington’s International Arts Festival.

This new and fresh band complements Mary’s intimate and inclusive stage presence and her honest interpretations of the music.
