Jazz in Martinborough 2014 opens with Wellington’s swinging seven piece eclectic jazz band the Shake-‘Em-On-Downers.

Start the old Model T and brew up some bathtub gin!  The Wellington City Shake-‘Em-On-Downers are here to deliver the most scintillating swing, the most dapper Dixieland and the nastiest ole New Orleans sound to be found outside of a speakeasy. Dance the night away to a repertoire of vintage 1920s and 1930s jazz from this modern and charismatic seven-piece from the capital.
